Lamb Kofta


  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat your grill to a medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, coriander, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer into a long sausage shape. If you don’t have skewers, you can simply shape the mixture into patties.
  4. Brush the koftas with olive oil and place them on the preheated grill.
  5. Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are nicely browned on all sides and cooked through.
  6. Remove from grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
