Pork Tonkatsu
Ingredients:
- 4 pork loin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup Tonkatsu sauce
- Sliced cabbage, for serving
Instructions:
- Season both sides of the pork loin steaks with salt and pepper.
- Place flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in three separate shallow dishes.
- Dredge each pork loin first in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the pork loin steaks until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Slice the Tonkatsu and serve with Tonkatsu sauce and sliced cabbage on the side.
